LJ and Iman

LJ was rescued when he was just 6 months old from a kill pen. He was sick and snotty, weak but feisty. He grew up in the HHHH sanctuary and was Lauren's best boy. He never lost that tinge of naughtiness. Unfortunately LJ passed from liver failure during the winter of 2024- at almost 9 years old.
Iman was one of LJ's girlfriends and was rescued from an auction in the fall of 2021. She was erratic and was so terrified at the auction that she’d rear up and fall onto her back, while other horses around her stepped on her in fear.
Earning her trust wasn’t easy, but it is a true gift to have now. Iman has adopted HHHH's three donkeys and mothers them all so sweetly.
